We understand that you may have more questions about the BBC documentary and this website. Some of the answers are on this FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page. We will be pleased to discuss any other queries with you personally.
How do I know that I’m talking to legal experts who can really help me?
The three barristers working on this project are very experienced in civil and criminal cases and include Dean Armstrong KC, a King’s Counsel (‘Silk’) barrister, which is the highest-ranking barrister in the UK. We are also pleased to be supported by Gloria Allred, an American attorney and women’s rights advocate who has represented women all over the United States, including in high profile cases against Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, R Kelly and Donald Trump.
How will I know that I will be listened to?
Who will I speak to if I call the phone number?
I find talking about what happened to me very upsetting. How can you support me?
I would like a friend to be present when I talk to you, can this be arranged?
How are the barristers retained?
Presently the barristers are retained by their clients subject to the Public Access Scheme run by the Bar Council of England and Wales. This is a scheme that was established in 2004 to permit members of the public to work directly with members of the Bar without the need to appoint a solicitor. All barristers are regulated by the Bar Standards Board of England and Wales. You can find helpful information on the Public Access Scheme which is run by the Bar Council of England and Wales here.

The Public Access Guidance for lay clients may be accessed here.
Please note that Maria Mulla practices out of Maitland Chambers and her Chambers website appears here.
Bruce Drummond’s Chambers website appears here.
You can also access any complaint information on those pages should you wish to make a complaint to those barristers who follow their own Chambers’ complaints process.
